Makeup and Beauty Blog Monday Poll, Vol. 354 - Makeup and Beauty Blog
You might be wondering, "So what in tarnation is this Mon Poll affair anyhow!?"
Well, it isn't exactly a poll. Information technology's more than of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random listing of questions I've been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past 7 years. (It's similar a kickstart for your brain.) I've always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you bask reading mine.
- Have you ever traveled out of the country for work?
A couple times, I have. Occasionally I'll travel for blog-related things, merely they're always super fast turnarounds, like you know, literally fly in and fly out, and then I don't get to spend a lot of fourth dimension doing vacation-y things, but information technology's e'er exciting.Like a few years agone I went to Milan for mode calendar week and covered the Dolce & Gabbana show. I was the shortest person in the room backstage with Pat McGrath!
I also went to Toronto to visit the Estée Lauder can't-think-the-name research labs, and that was super absurd.
- Capes: a exercise or a don't?
Maybe I just haven't establish the right cape…only for me, I feel like they're a don't, because I'm barely 5'one″ tall, and capes make me expect like I'1000 drowning in fabric. But if I ever found "the right cape," I'd consider it.
- Who'due south the person you text the nigh?
Strangely enough, it's my old work friend Neiman, and it'due south always nonsensical stuff, usually pictures of nutrient. Like yesterday I sent him a picture of a broccoli and potato frittata that I made.I guess it's because nosotros used to be food/diet buddies when we worked together in San Francisco, and we'd talk about exercising and eating salads, so now we merely send each other pictures of food.
- How is your skin doing then far this wintertime?
It's been super fussy, only information technology was fine until Christmas, when we left the Bay Expanse for a few days and went north to Redding near the Oregon border. It'southward freakishly dry there, and so I started breaking out.I think it's also because I've been eating stuff I don't usually eat, like a lot more than fried nutrient and sugary foods.
And then now my peel'due south hella dry, and I've got a little breakout, but it'll be fine in a month or so if I'chiliad good about watching what I eat and start exercising again.
- What's the most surprising thing yous learned almost makeup concluding yr?
Probably that I don't have to put a ton of stuff in my brows to brand them look as lush and big and bushy as I like.I wait back on my brows and how I used to do them a year agone, when I would pack a lot of pulverization in them because I felt like I had to, but now I just employ two things: a brow pencil and a forehead gel, and that's information technology for the same lush wait.
